Jeffrey “Solo” Mays, Jr., 45, of Morganton, NC, passed away Monday, December 23, 2024.
Born in Catawba County, NC on June 3, 1979, he was the son of the late Jeffrey Lynn Mays, Sr. and Karen Ann Ussher.
Solo was an outdoors kind of guy, and he enjoyed fishing and bonfires. His family was his prized possession, and he loved to help people.
Solo is survived by his daughters, Jantana Duffey and Makayla Mays; sons, Tristan Mays and Gavin Mays; five grandchildren; and his soulmate, Heather Chaney.
In addition to his parents, Solo was preceded in death by a brother, Eric Ussher.
No services are planned at this time.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
