Jennette Lowdermilk Higgins

Jennette Lowdermilk Higgins, 75, of Morganton passed away Thursday, March 29, 2018.  Born November 15, 1942 in Burke County, she was the daughter of the late John Edwin Lowdermilk and Dora Stines Lowdermilk.  She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church on Dysartsville Road.

Jennette is survived by her daughter, Joy Houston and husband, Phil, of Conover, Jackie Bivens and husband, Myron, of Lincolnton, and Jerri Wiehler and husband, Jeff, of Hickory; grandchildren, Rebecca Mangum, Amanda Epley and husband, Nick, Robert Rhodes and wife, Beka, and Kelly Lingafelt and husband, Bennett; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and brothers, Jack Lowdermilk of Waynesville, and Don and Larry Lowdermilk of Morganton.

In addition to her parents, Jennette was preceded in death by a grandson, Travis Conley; and a sister, Wanda Buff.

The memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Bethel United Methodist Church on Dysartsville Road with the Rev. Kent Lowdermilk officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family greet friends following the service.
