Jeraline (Jerri) Stroupe Cole

Jeraline (Jerri) Stroupe Cole, 76, of Jonesborough, TN, passed away at home on Monday, May 30, 2016. She was born in Morganton, NC and was the daughter of the late Gerald Glenn and Katie Elizabeth Stroupe. She was a graduate of Salem High School and Texas Tech University. She also attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Jerri’s faith in Christ and her family and friends were very important in her life. Because of her health problems, she welcomed “going home.” In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Carmie Gene Stroupe.
Jerri is survived by her husband of 55 years, William David Cole; brothers, Charles Vernon Stroupe and his wife, Judy, and James Clinton Stroupe and his wife, Frances, both of Morganton.
The family will receive friends from 2:00pm -3:00pm, Friday, June 3, 2016 at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center. The service will be at 3:00pm in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Jerry Gamble and Rev. Joe Edwards officiating. Burial will follow the service at Burke Memorial Park.
