Jeremiah “Jeb” Greene

Jeremiah “Jeb” Greene, 43 of Morganton, NC, passed away Friday, September 27, 2019. Born on September 8, 1976, he was the son of Ned Greene of Montclair, VA and Jeane Greene of Swannanoa, NC.

Jeb was a veteran of the US Army having served over 14 years. He was in the Operation Uphold Democracy in Haiti, and was also stationed at the Pentagon. Jeb was an animal advocate, especially dogs and great white sharks.

In addition to his parents, Jeb is survived by his wife, Deirdre Greene of Morganton, NC; son, Mason Greene of Montclair, VA; sisters, Christy Greene of Montclair, VA, Allison Greene-Wall (Jon) of Ruidoso, NM; nephews, Joseph Michael Bernard, Adam Schaller, Austin Schaller; niece, Caitlyn Bernard.

A celebration of life will be held at 3:30 p.m., Thursday, October 3, 2019 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with the Chaplin Jeremiah Richards officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home. Military honors provided by the US National Guard.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to ASPCA, REASON NC, Rusty Legacy, or Shark’s Angels.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
