Jeremy S. Burleson, 34, of Morganton, NC went home to his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, May 4, 2016. Born in Burke County, NC on December 25, 1981, he was the son of Jerry and Debbie Parlier Burleson of Morganton. He had a heart of gold and was loved by all who knew him. Jeremy was a member of First Baptist Church where he was very active as a youth. Jeremy was a graduate of Freedom High School where he played in the jazz band. He owned and operated Debi’s Uniforms with his parents. He loved to play golf and spend time at the beach with family and friends.
A loving husband, father, and son, Jeremy is survived by his wife and soulmate, Stacie F. Burleson of the home; his twin children, Sydney and Hayden, who were his pride and joy; his parents, Jerry and Debbie Parlier Burleson of Morganton; his mother-in-law, Melinda Farr; his brother-in-law, Shane Farr; his sister-in-law, Lavona Farr; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Jeremy was preceded in death by his loving grandparents, Paul and Mildred Parlier and Ernest and Kate Burleson; his father-in-law, Von Farr; and his grandfather-in-law, Russell McNeilly.
The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m., Friday, May 6, 2016 at Sossoman Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 7, 2016 at First Baptist Church with Dr. Thomas A. Bland, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Burke Memorial Park.
