Jerry "Cotton" Huffman

Jerry "Cotton" Huffman, 68, of Persimmon Rd., Connelly Springs, NC died Saturday, June 5, 2010 as a result of injuries in an auto accident. Born in Burke County, NC on May 14, 1942, he was a son of the late Forrest and Eva Pruitt Huffman. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Swink Huffman, two brothers and a sister. For forty years Jerry was employed by Drexel-Heritage Furnishings. He was a member of the Bens Knob Beagle Club.Surviving are a son, Randy "Jake" Huffman and his wife, Sandy of Connelly Springs; a daughter, Peggy Willis and her husband, Mack of Rutherford College, NC; granddaughters, Jessica and Amber Huffman and Anna Willis; great grandsons, Rhylen and Eastyn Huffman and Brayden Willis; a brother, Larry Huffman of Connelly Springs; and a sister, Wanda Robinson of Connelly Springs.The funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 8, 2010 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with the Rev. Buddy Sizemore officiating. Burial will follow in the Swink Family Cemetery, Connelly Springs, NC. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m., Monday at the funeral home. At other times the family will be at the home of Peggy and Mack Willis, Rutherford College, NC.
