Jerry Dean Wilkie

Jerry Dean Wilkie, 59 of Connelly Springs, NC died on Monday, September 19, 2016. Born on July 13, 1957 in Cleveland County, NC, he was the son of Edna Mae Carico Wilkie and the late James Cecil Wilkie. Jerry was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved all kinds of music and playing bass guitar. Jerry also loved guns, target shooting for fun and playing on his tractor.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by brother, Von Wilkie; and sisters, Margaret Brown and Mary Wilkie.
In addition to his mother Jerry is survived by his wife, Linda Wright Wilkie; daughter, Brandy Warner and fiancé, Clifton Waugh, Candy Fox and husband, Ryan, and Delana Wilkie and fiancé, Tyler Benge; grandsons, Brandon Warner and Hayden Sumpter; granddaughter, Dakota Wellman; sister, Elaine Powell; brother, James Wilkie and wife, Jean of Polkville; brother-in-law, William Elmer Wright and wife, Sherrie; and a number of nieces and nephews and extended family.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel at Sossoman Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Cook officiating.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
