Jerry Earnest Sigmon

Jerry Earnest Sigmon, 67, of Morganton, NC went to live with his Lord unexpectedly on Saturday, August 21, 2010. Born in Caldwell County, NC on September 23, 1942, he was the son of Iris Laxton Sigmon of Morganton and the late Walter Herman Sigmon. Jerry was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.In addition to his mother, Jerry is survived by his wife, Teresa Renee Franklin Sigmon of the home; a son, Jonathan Sigmon of Taylorsville, NC; a daughter, Lynnette Sigmon Eller and husband, Rick, of Taylorsville; step-daughters, April Smith and husband, Terry, and Crystal McCall, all of Morganton; grandchildren, Courtney Rudisill, Justin Young, Sophie Jussila, Shylia May, Dusty Smith, Riley Smith, David Smith, Morgan Smith, Dakota Jones, and Chloe White; siblings, Larry Sigmon and wife, Brenda, of Lenoir, NC, Roger Sigmon of Clinton, KY, Joy Brummal and husband, Mike, of Clinton, KY, and Yvonne Knock and husband, Mark, of Murphy, NC; and Uncle Howard C. Sigmon and wife, Wanda, of Deland, FL; and a number of nieces and nephews.The memorial service will be held at 8:15 p.m.., Thursday, August 26, 2010 at Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. Clarence Correll officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 7:00 until 8:15. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 222 S.
