Jerry Edward Crump

Jerry Edward Crump, 79, of Morganton went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 4, 2021.  Born in Burke County, NC on February 14, 1942, he was the son of the late John Thomas Crump and Estelle Mamie Mull Crump.  Jerry was a member of Burns Memorial Baptist Church.

Jerry was a devoted father, grandfather, and brother who loved his family.  He retired from Drexel Heritage with over 40 years of service and enjoyed gardening, hunting, and fishing.

Jerry is survived by his son, Michael Crump, and wife, Donnie; grandsons, Cody and Colby Crump; brothers, Truett, Steve, Joe, Ronnie, and Dwain Crump; and sister, Naomi Crump Cannon.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by three brothers, Bruce, Tommy, and Kenneth Crump.

The graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, May 7, 2021 at Herman Brittain Memorial Cemetery (4047 Leger Road, Valdese) with Pastor Dwight Lowman officiating.
