Jesse Lewis Greene

Jesse Lewis Greene, 80, of Morganton died Wednesday, June 12, 2013. He was born in Caldwell County, NC on August 27, 1932 and was a son of Robey Daniel Greene and Ella Mae Stout Greene. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Mark Douglas Greene; brothers, Doug, Robey, and Edward Greene; and a sister, Hazel Patton. Mr. Greene was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean conflict. He was of the Baptist faith and was a retired truck driver from Broyhill Furniture.Surviving are his wife, Jeannie Carol Mace Greene, of the home; his daughter, Karla Sue Mullins of Morganton; and a granddaughter, Jillian E. Greene.Cryptside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, June 15, 2013, in the Chapel of Burke Memorial Park Mausoleum with Rev. David Orders officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the NC National Guard and Caldwell County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the mausoleum. At other times the family will be at the home on Chapman Road. Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with arrangements.
