Jill Parker Winters

Jill Parker Winters, 35, of Morganton passed away November 4, 2017. Born January 13, 1982, in Montgomery, AL, Jill was the daughter of Deborah Church Brown of Mars Hill, NC and William Allen Parker of Cincinnati, OH. In addition to her parents, Jill is survived by her children Alyssa Lail & her father Justin Lail, Chevy Winters, and Reese Winters. Jill was preceded in death by her daughter Olivia Grace Winters. Though separated from, Jill is also survived by her husband Joseph Michael Winters; sisters, Joanne Parker Garrison (Gregory), Kelley Lane (Michael), and Carolyn Kamberlane (Silvio); nieces Abbey, Zoe, and Amelia, and nephews Julian, Alexander & Fletcher.
Jill was a wonderful mother and homemaker who cherished her life with family and friends.To anyone lucky enough to know her, she was a wonderful, generous, down-to-earth and quick-witted soul who enjoyed making people laugh. She liked to cook, travel, camp, visit the beach, build dams in creeks, slide down water slides, and could ride a big wheel better than any 5 year old. She had an amazing way of making lemonade from lemons.
She would give you the shirt off of her back and maybe it would be lavender – her favorite color. You may honor her by wearing something lavender to her celebration of life. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3 p.m., Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center.
