Jim Carico

Jim Carico, 62, of Morganton, NC went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, August 22, 2011. Born in Cleveland County, NC on September 2, 1948, he was the son of the late Sam Junior Carico and Valerie Bumgardner Carico. He was a devoted member of North Side Baptist Church in Caldwell County. He worked at Impact Furniture for over 20 years and retired from Caterpillar. Jim was an avid outdoorsman.Jim is survived by his wife, Debbie Hicks Carico of the home; a son, Scott Carico and wife, Heidi, of Morganton; a brother, Gary M. Carico of Morganton; a nephew, Mike Carico; and a god-son, Dalton Land.The funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 24, 2011 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center with Reverends Howard Michaels and Eugene Bumgardner officiating. Burial will follow in Old Golden Valley Missionary Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
