Jimmy Abee Jr.

Jimmy Abee, Jr., 66, of Morganton, NC went to sleep in Jesus on Sunday, April 23, 2023. He was born on October 9, 1956 in Catawba County to the later Jimmy Leonard Abee and Willie Mae Reinhardt Abee. Jimmy was baptized in the Seventh Day Adventist Church. He worked at Drexel Heritage Plants 3&5. Jimmy loved his dogs. His and Sharon’s favorite song was “Butterfly Kisses.”

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Pearson Abee; brother, Rick Abee; sister, Sandy Abee.

He is survived by his daughter, Sharon Abee Owensby (Kevin); brother, Tim Abee; sisters, Cindy Atkins and Robin Shook; grandchildren, Mary and Maddie Owensby.

The family will receive friends from 1pm-2pm Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Sossoman Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 2:30pm at Burke Memorial Park with Pastor Tim Sheridan officiating. Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
