Jimmy Monroe Reece, 79, of Drexel, NC passed away Thursday, February 2, 2017. Jimmy was born on May 26, 1937 in Burke County, NC to the late Rawleigh Edward Reece and Zada Elizabeth Bennettt Reece.
Jimmy was of the Christian faith. He loved to garden and share the benefits of his garden with his friends and family.
Jimmy is survived by his brothers, Ray Reece and wife, Joyce of Drexel and Dean Reece and wife, Joyce of Connelly Springs; sisters, Joyce Black and husband, Kenneth of Morganton and Wilma Hunt and husband, David of Greer, South Carolina; and many nephews and nieces.
In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Reece and infant brothers, Jerry and Joe Billy Reece.
The graveside service will be 1:00 p.m., Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Burke Memorial Park with Wanda Skilbred officiating.
