Joann Causby

Joann Causby, 59, of Morganton, NC went to her Heavenly home on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at her residence. Born in Catawba County, NC on June 3, 1952, she was the daughter of Margie Loretta Taylor Stillwell and the late Vernon Stillwell. Joann was a member of Christ United Methodist Church where she was active in the United Methodist Women and a faithful member of the her Sunday School Class. She was a past employee of Drexel Heritage. Joann was a devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother.Joann is survived by her husband, Jackie Causby of the home; a daughter, Stephanie Mitchell Nelson and husband, Shane, of Morganton; step-sons, Zack Causby, and Derek Causby, all of Granite Falls, NC; grandchildren, Luke, Brailey, and Beckett Nelson; a brother, Vernon Ray Stillwell; and a sister, Blenda Stillwell McMahon.In addition to her father, Joann was preceded in death by her sister, Reba Stillwell Canipe.The funeral will be held at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, December 1, 2011 at Christ United Methodist Church with Rev. Martha Welch officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery.
