Joann R. Pendley

Joann R. Pendley, 74, died Tuesday, September 28, 2010. Born in Mitchell Co., NC on July 30, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Bud Riddle and Elizabeth Buchanan English. Joann was a member of Calvary Assembly of God and loved the outdoors.Joann is survived by her husband, Robert T. Pendley of the home; a daughter, Carol Denise Pendley of Morganton; a brother, Howard Riddle of Old Fort, NC; grandchildren, Nicholas and Alex Pendley; and a great-grandchild.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers.The funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, September 30, 2010 at Calvary Assembly of God with Reverends Howard Riddle and Mike Whisnant officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family to assist with expenses. Sossoman Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
