Joe C. Ingram

Joe C. Ingram, 67, of Morganton, NC died unexpectedly Tuesday, August 17, 2010. Born in Boston, MA on March 30, 1943, he was the son of Edythe Nuss Crumpton of Gardendale, AL and the late Joe Clayton Ingram, Sr. Joe was a member of Catawba Valley Baptist Church where he was serving as a deacon. He recently retired from Lowe’s Home Improvement in Morganton.Joe is survived by his wife of 43 years, Ann Pearson Ingram; children, Jackie Jolley and husband, Stuart, of Mars Hill, NC, Shannon Rush and husband, John, of Atlanta, GA, and Jason Ingram and wife, Joanne of Acworth, GA; grandchildren, Sam Jolley, Johnathan Jolley, Joshua Ingram, and Jacob Ingram; brothers, Jerry Ingram and wife, Jenny, of Lula, GA and Robert Ingram and wife, DeLee of Marietta, GA; and sisters, Sandra Jones and husband, Otis, of Lawrenceville, GA and June Lacanski of Birmingham, AL.The funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 20, 2010 at Catawba Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Odom officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors performed by Valdese American Legion Post #234. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Sossoman Funeral Home where the body will remain until placed in the church thirty minutes prior to the funeral hour.
