Joey Lee Cook

Joey Lee Cook, 46, of Granite Falls, NC went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, February 23, 2011. Born July 5, 1964 in Burke County, he was a son of Ella Morgan Cook Ingle of Granite Falls and the late Fred Matthew Cook. He was also preceded in death by a niece, Christina Cook. Joey worked as a handyman with his brothers. He was a very giving person and had many friends.In addition to his mother, he is survived by his step-father, Kenneth Ingle of the home; brothers, Charles Cook and wife, Marie of Morganton, Johnny Cook and girlfriend, Holly, and Andy Cook and wife, Wendy, all of Glen Alpine; step-brothers, Derrick Ingle of Hudson, NC and Kenny Ingle of Lenoir, NC; a sister, Tammy Cook Flynn and husband, Darrell, of Morganton; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.A Celebration of Life service will be held at 5:00 p.m., Saturday, February 26, 2011 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Rev. Ralph Shuffler officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the service.
