John “David” Wall

John “David” Wall, 61, of Morganton, NC, died unexpectedly Friday, June 2, 2017. David was born on July 5, 1955 in Burke County and was the son of Walter LeRoy Wall and Barbara Bounous Wall. David loved his dogs, running, hiking and the outdoors.
David was preceded in death by a niece, Sarah Cobb.
In addition to his parents, David is survived by sisters, Elizabeth Wall Cobb and husband, Gary of Morganton, Leslie Wall Earley and husband, Bob of Lincolnton; brother, Doug Wall and fiancé, Ria Pratiwi of Fuquay-Varina, NC; dear friend, Toni Powers of Morganton; and nieces and nephews, Jennifer and Tyler Cobb, and Anna and Daniel Earley.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Forest Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Wanda Neely officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Burke County Friends for Animals, P.O. Box 1884, Morganton, NC 28680.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
