John Jerry Dale, 79, of Lenoir, NC, passed away on Monday, April 11, 2022. He was born on October 25, 1942 in Burke County to the late Grover Cleveland Dale and Avis Williams. Jerry, a former school teacher, was a history buff and avid reader. In his earlier years, he enjoyed traveling and cruising.
He is survived by a brother, Sexton Dale (Edith); nephews, Mike Dale (Becky), Mickey Dale (Kelly), Barry Dale (Stacy Smith); niece, Debbie Dale; great-nephew, nieces and numerous cousins. The family would like to thank Mr. Ed Williams for his kind friendship and care for Jerry during the past several years.
There will be a graveside service at 11:00am, Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Salem United Methodist Church with the Rev. Norm Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Salem United Methodist Church.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
