John Kevin Rogers

John Kevin Rogers, 33, of Morganton, NC went home to be with his Lord on Monday, July 16, 2012. Born in Burke County, NC on April 11, 1979, he was the son of Jerry William Rogers and Sharon Pearson Rogers of Morganton. John was a member of Silver Creek Baptist Church. He enjoyed computers and reading.In addition to his parents, John is survived by his son, Darius Rogers; a brother, Gregg Allen Rogers of Morganton; a sister; Kelley Ann Rogers of the home; paternal grandparents, Jimmy and Virginia Rogers of Morganton; maternal grandmother, Marian McNeilly of Morganton; nephews and a niece, Hayden Alec Rector, Trever Noylan Rogers, Noah Isaac Rogers, and Alexa Proctor; and a number of uncles, aunts, and cousins.John was preceded in death by his paternal great-grandmother, Lillian Branch.The funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Silver Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Freddie Williams and Jim Frady officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
