John Michael Bartok

John Michael Bartok, 83, of Smawley St. in Morganton died Friday, February 5, 2010 at Sunrise Rehab and Care in Nebo, NC. He was born January 28, 1927 in Allegheny, PA, and was the son of the late John G. Bartok and Alice Marie Keane Bartok. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Mae Smawley Bartok. John was a US Navy veteran and served in World War II. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.He is survived by four daughters; three sisters, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.Services will be held at a later date. Sossoman Funeral Home is assisting the family.
