John Pinkney Gragg

John Pinkney Gragg, 89, of Autumn Care of Drexel, NC died Thursday, May 6, 2010 after a period of declining health. Born in Caldwell Co., NC on April 14, 1921, he was the son of the late John Vernon Gragg and Fannie Mae Leonard Gragg.An honest and gentle man, John is survived by his niece, Judy Chavez and husband, Rolando, of Valdese; and a great-niece, Sara Shockley and husband, Daniel, of Valdese.In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters.A graveside service was held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 8, 2010 in Glen Alpine Cemetery with Rev. Michael Brown officiating. Sossoman Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
