John Richard Hollifield

John Richard Hollifield, 59, of J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center in Morganton died unexpectedly, Thursday, December 30, 2010 at Grace Hospital. Born August 3, 1951 in Mecklenburg County, he was a son of the late William and Mary Wilson Hollifield. John was a resident of the Center for many years, and loved swimming and being outdoors.He is survived by a brother, William Hollifield and his wife, Camilla of Pawleys Island, SC. The family would like to express their deep appreciation to all the staff at the Center for the loving care and kindness shown to John over the years.A memorial service to commemorate John’s life will be held at J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center at a later date. Sossoman Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
