John W. Seagle

John W. Seagle, 52, of Golf Course Rd. in Morganton died on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, NC following a brief illness. He was born October 30, 1956 in Catawba County, and was a son of Shirley Ruth Gross Garrett of Hickory and the late Frank Seagle. John was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. He graduated from Fred T. Foard High School and then worked for Old Dominion Freight Lines.In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Roberta Roberts Seagle of the home; a step-son, Harry Everett Carpenter IV of Washington, DC; a step-daughter, Meredith Eller and husband, Tim of Lincolnton, NC; and brothers, Billy Seagle, Kenny Seagle, and Danny Seagle, all of Hickory.Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M., Friday, June 26, 2009 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Rev.
