Johnnie Dale

Johnnie Dale, 81 of Morganton, NC passed away, Friday, May 27, 2022, after an extended illness. Born on November 12, 1940, he was the son of the late Johnnie and Martha Dale. Johnnie was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was the owner and operator of Dale’s Convenience Store for 30 plus years where he came to know everyone in the community. In his later years, Johnnie most enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Johnnie is survived by his sons, Martie Dale (Sharon Mong Dale) Jason Dale (Emily); grandchildren, Dalton Michael Dale, Kory Isaac Carswell, Jax Dale, Linkin Dale; great-grandchildren, Praley Michelle Coy, Avery Elisabeth Carswell; brother, James Dale (Phyllis); and a number of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In addition to his parents, Johnnie is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Darnell Dale; sister, Betty Tevepaugh.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery.
