Johnny "Big John" Causby

Johnny "Big John" Causby, 66 of, Morganton died Wednesday, October 16, 2013. Johnny was born May 8, 1947 in Burke County to the late Mamie Ida Causby. He was an active member of Mull’s Grove Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon, and had retired from Doblin Fabrics.Johnny is survived by his wife, Lynn Causby; daughter, Jennifer Snow and her husband, Terry of Morganton; grandson, C. J. Snow; special friends, Cameron Scism, Charles Caulk, Jr. and "Pee Wee" Carswell of Morganton and a number of loving cousins and extended family members.A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday October 20, 2013 at Mull’s Grove Baptist Church with Brother Bud Jernigan and Rev. Allan Barlow officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m., prior to the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with expenses. Sossoman Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
