Johnny William Lunsford

Johnny William Lunsford, 67, of Valdese died April 27, 2013. He was born in Washington County, TN on May 8, 1945 and was the son of Charles Martin Lunsford and Judy Ann Sharp Lunsford. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Annie Moses.Mr. Lunsford was a former employee of Drexel Heritage Furnishings.Johnny is survived by his sons, Johnny D. Lunsford and wife, Lisa, and Chris Lunsford and wife, Shasta, all of Valdese; daughter, Tracey Lunsford Corwin and husband, Greg of Flowery Branch, GA; seven grandchildren; brother, Ray Lunsford and wife, Carolyn of Glen Alpine and sister, Marie Dunley and husband Chris of the South Mountain community. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff of Burke Hospice for the care they provided to their father.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2013 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with the Rev. Leonard Lindsey officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. Tuesday.
