Johnny William Pritchard

Johnny William Pritchard, 63, of Morganton died Sunday, December 16, 2018.  Born in Newport, TN on January 9, 1955, he was the son of the late Frank Alvin Pritchard and Mary Dorothy Simmons Pritchard.  Johnny was a member of Bollinger Chapel United Methodist Church where he served as an usher.

Mr. Pritchard is survived by his companion and caretaker, Doll Maltba; son, Rev. John “Skeeter” Pritchard (Jennifer) of Morganton; grandchildren, Taylor, Elijah, and Landrey; brother, James Pritchard (Doris) of Marion; sisters, Doris Cline and Joyce Hildebran, both of Morganton; and a number of nephews and nieces.

In addition to his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Frank Wayne Pritchard, George “Bobby” Pritchard, and Michael Alvin Pritchard; and a sister, Mary Louise Spencer.

A celebration of Johnny’s life will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Bollinger Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. David Duncan officiating.  The family will greet friends following the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with expenses.
