Jonathan "John-Boy" Ernest Hutchins

Jonathan "John-Boy" Ernest Hutchins, 30, of Enola Road, Morganton, NC, died Monday, April 9, 2007 as the result of an automobile accident. Born in Burke County, NC on June 16, 1976, he was the son of John Hutchins, Jr. and Jennie Chapman Hutchins of Morganton. Mr. Hutchins was a member of Cross Memorial Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Brenda Benjamin Hutchins of the home; a son, Jonathan Roy Hutchins of the home; a sister, Mary Alice Nelson of Morganton; maternal grandparents, Cecil and Sadie Chapman of Morganton ; two nephews, Richard David Wyatt and James Robert Wyatt; and his father and mother-in-law, Robert Benjamin of New York and Donna Benjamin of Morganton.

The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 12, 2007 at Cross Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. at Sossoman Funeral Home where the body will remain until placed in the church thirty minutes prior to the funeral hour.
