Jonell Pressley Peacock Miller

Jonell Pressley Peacock Miller, 82, of Ferguson, NC died Sunday, November 9, 2014.  Born in Gaston County, NC on February 3, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Earnest Brite Pressley and Gennie V. Mills Pressley.  Jonell was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Sawmills.  She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, and loved to cook.

A wonderful mother and grandmother, Mrs. Miller is survived by her sons, Darrell Peacock (Patricia) of Mocksville, NC, Wayne Peacock (Renee) of Hickory, NC, and Danny Peacock (Cindy) of Hickory; daughters, Linda Gail (Johnny Gilbert) of Ferguson and Janice Bishop and Joe Hall, of Hickory; thirteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Ann Hunt (Gene) of Belmont, NC.

In addition to her parents, Jonell was preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth Lee Peacock; and her second husband, Calvin Ray Miller.

The funeral will be held at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Sawmills.  Burial will be held at 2:30pm, Thursday at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery in Mocksville.  The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center where the body will remain until placed in the church thirty minutes prior to the service.
