Joseph Charles Hoyle

Joseph Charles Hoyle, 89, of Morganton, NC went to be with his Lord on Sunday, March 20, 2016.  He was born in Cleveland County, NC on July 17, 1926.  Waiting to greet him in heaven are his parents, Grady Hoyle and Lorena Duckett Hoyle; his step-mother, Melva Hoyle; his wife, Betty Jo Willis Hoyle; a brother, Billy Grady Hoyle; and a sister, Ruby Hoyle.

Joseph was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.  He retired from Broughton Hospital after 30 years of service as a steam plant engineer.  Mr. Hoyle was always working on cars and figuring out how they worked.  His curiosity and creativity lead him to interesting mechanical solutions with his automobiles.  He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Those left to cherish Joseph’s memory include his daughter, Lovenna Hoyle of Morganton and Regina Bajorek and her husband, William, of New Richmond, OH; grandchildren, Joseph C. Tremer and his wife, Christina, Angela Tremer Witzel and her husband, Greg, and Grady Bajorek; great-grandchildren, David Tremer, Chyna T. Yount and her husband, Josh, Ethan Witzel, and Charlie Greene; siblings, Robert Hoyle of Marion, NC, Betty Wiseman of Mayville, NY, and Jerry Hoyle of Redlands, CA; and a number of nephews and nieces.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m., Monday, March 28, 2016 at Sossoman Funeral Home.  The funeral will be held at 12 p.m., Monday in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Tim Smith and the Rev. Dr. Larry Cline officiating.  Burial will follow in Burke Memorial Park with military honors provided by the N.C. National Guard and the Caldwell County Veterans Honor Guard.  At other times the family will be at the home of Lovenna Hoyle.
