Joseph Michael Tremer

Joseph Michael Tremer, 68, of Crossville, TN went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 2, 2019.  Born in Burke County, NC on December 13, 1950, he was the son of Valera Virginia Jacumin Stephson and the late Joseph Patrick Tremer.  Joseph was a hardworking man with a good sense of humor.  He was a 1971 graduate of Valdese High School.  He enjoyed coaching all kinds of sports.  Joseph worked as a store manager, district manager, and training manager at several different fast-food restaurants.

A loving father, Mr. Tremer is survived by his son, Joseph Christopher Wayne Tremer and wife, Christina Chess-Tremer; daughter, Angela Tremer Witzel and husband, Gregory; grandchildren, Chyna Tremer Yount and husband, Josh, Joseph David Tremer, Charlie Greene, and Ethan Witzel; and a great-grandson, Theo Yount.

In addition to his father, Joseph was preceded in death by a sister, Kay Frances Tremer.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m., Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center.  The memorial service will follow at 4 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Paul Kidd officiating.
