Josephine “Jodie” Childress Kelly, 62, of Lawrenceville, GA died August 12, 2017 after a lengthy illness. She passed away in the home of her sister and brother-in-law, Lee and Jerry Fox, in Morganton, North Carolina.
Ms. Kelly lived most of her adult life in Lawrenceville, Georgia, where she was employed for many years in the accounting field. She was loyal to and loved by her close, supportive friends and always showed kindness to others.
Ms. Kelly is survived by her husband, Jay Kelly of Lawrenceville, GA; beloved sister and brother, Lee Childress Fox and Wade T. Childress, III, both of Morganton; her uncle, John Carlton Huie of Asheville, NC; her aunt, Mildred Huie Wilcox of St. Simons Island, GA; and her step-daughter, Mimi Kelly of Atlanta, GA.
Ms. Kelly was predeceased by her parents, Wade and Carlton Childress, of Atlanta, and her grandparents Carl and Mildred Huie of Albany, GA
A gathering to celebrate the life of Ms. Kelly will be announced at a later date.
