Joyce Bushong, 81, of Morganton, NC, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2022. Born in Monroe County, KY on November 19, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Ancil Thomas and Bessie Gillenwater Thomas. Joyce was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church.
Joyce is survived by her sons, Mark Williams (Amy) and Ronnie Williams (Anna); daughter, Beth Hicks (Harvey); grandchildren, Brandi Leal, Brittany Simpkins, Chelsey Correa, Trace Williams, and Ashley Williams; great-grandchildren, Andrew Leal, Ella Leal, Addy Leal, Sophia Love, Devin Correa, Peyton Correa, Penelope Correa, and Henry Correa.
In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Bushong.
Services will be held at a later date in Mt. Hermon, Kentucky.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
