Joyce L. Pritchard

Joyce L. Pritchard, 72, died Monday, July 26, 2010 at Kindred Hospital in Greensboro following a period of declining health. Born April 27, 1938 in Burke County, she was a daughter of the late Charles Monroe Lowdermilk and Sudie Moore Lowdermilk.She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Pritchard of the home; a son, Kenneth Monroe Pritchard and wife, Cheryl of Morganton; daughters, Rita Morrill and husband, Michael of Glen Alpine, and Tonya Clark and husband, Allan of Morganton; a sister, Lena Tweed of Drexel; an aunt, Margaret Whisenant of Morganton; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at the Pritchard Clontz Cemetery in Morganton with Rev. Douglas St. John officiating. At other times the family will be at the residence of Rita Morrill in Glen Alpine. Sossoman Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
