Joyce Yelton Isaacs

Joyce Yelton Isaacs, 76, of Robey Street, Morganton, NC, died Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at her residence. Born in Rutherford County, NC, on June 4, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Cletus and Estelle Towery Yelton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Gerald and Bobby Yelton, and two sisters, Marie Nichols and Thelma Williams. Mrs. Isaacs was a retired employee of Roses Department Store. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, the Eastern Star, and Women of the Moose #1382.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Earnest Isaacs of the home; three daughters, Sandra Thomas and husband, Roger, of Morganton, Debra Williams and husband, J.B., of Morganton; and Brenda Curtis and husband, Lynn, of Rock Hill, SC; three brothers, Donald Yelton of Indian Trail, NC, Boyd Yelton of Morganton, and Wayne Yelton of Morganton; six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

The memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 29, 2006 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Rev. Joseph Lynn Curtis officiating.
