Judy Carol Galey, 75, of Morganton, NC, died Monday, August 19, 2024.

Born in Goldsboro, NC on October 8, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Keith Sloan, Jr. and Estes Catherine Lovett Sloan.

Judy was a member of Quaker Meadows Presbyterian Church where she served as clerk of session. She retired from Martin Family Ford.

Mrs. Galey is survived by her children, Chrystal Yvonne Galey Bell (Sean) and Edwin Franklin Galey, Jr.; granddaughters, Victoria Lynn Bell, Sarah Elizabeth Galey-Folder, Ashley Nicole Bell, and Carol Anne Galey; and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin F. Galey, Sr.; sister, Lori Lynn Sloan Miller; and brother, Joel Kim Sloan.

The graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Quaker Meadows Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Revs. Andy Parkey and Yvonne Thurmond officiating. The friends will greet friends in the fellowship hall following the service.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.

So sorry for your family's loss, losing a mother is so hard on children, grandchildren and sisters/brothers. Her presence will be certainly missed here on earth, but what a reunion it will be when we meet them again. Prayers to all.
