Judy Collins Botsko, 61, of Morganton, NC, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on November 27, 1954 to Noma Irene Booth Collins and the late Rev. John H. Collins in Bushnell, FL. She was the manager of Smart Cuts for 15 years and was a selfless person. She loved her Lord and Savior and dearly loved her church, Poarch Chapel Missionary Methodist Church. Judy touched many lives and was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, David Botsko; son, Kevin Benfield and wife, Choy of Newland, NC; daughters, Shanda Dellinger, Rose Kimrey and husband, James, all of Morganton, and Sarah Price and husband, Jody of Hickory, NC; grandchildren, Joseph and Monica Erwin, William Erwin, Bradley Benfield, Bethany Benfield, Justin Dellinger, Hannah Dellinger, Oliver Dellinger, Sunni Carpenter, Sadie Carpenter, Jeremiah Carpenter, Jordan McLeod, Addison Dishman, Christopher Dishman, Zander Dishman, and Camden Dishman; great-grandchildren, Eli Erwin, Titus Erwin, Uriah Erwin, and Lyric Hamby; sister, Noma and Robert Wells, Melinda and Bruce Peters, Debra and James Middleton, all of FL; brother, Benny and Marie Collins; also a number of nieces, nephews and cousins who dearly loved her. The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at Forsyth Medical Center for their loving care.
The family will receive friends from 2:00pm until 3:00pm, Sunday, November 27, 2016 at Poarch Chapel Missionary Methodist Church. The service will begin at 3:00pm, at the church, with the Rev. Wally Smith and Rev. Debbie Barker officiating. Burial will follow at Hartland Missionary Methodist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center, PO Box 2608, Morganton, NC 28680 to help with funeral expenses.
