Judy K. Walker, 56, of Morganton, died Sunday, June 29, 2014. She was born on August 9, 1957 in Burke County to the late James Crawford Walker and Nellie Loree Costner Walker. Judy loved bluegrass music.
She is survived by her sister, Marie W. Brittain of Morganton; a brother, Thomas Edward Walker and his wife, Karen, of Morganton; uncles, Bobby Walker and wife, Glenda, and Timothy Walker and wife, Betty, both of Morganton, Arnold Walker and wife, Tommie Sue, of Smokey Creek, Ellis Costner and wife, Carolyn, of Lawndale, and Bobby Costner and Larry Costner, both of Cherryville; aunts, Bernice H. Walker of Morganton and Linda Jane Guffey of Golden Valley; a special friend, Bill Epley; several nieces and nephews; and her canine companion, Tiny.
The memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 2, 2014 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center with Pastor Bake Garman officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.
