Katealee Barrier Woodie

Katealee Barrier Woodie, 82, of Charlotte, NC died Thursday, March 22, 2012. She was born in Avery County on October 9, 1929 and was a daughter of the late Lloyd and Tuppy Weatherman Barrier. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Woodie was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Dianne Woodie.She is survived by her husband, Howard J. Woodie, of the home; daughters, Lisa Woodie and her partner, Dana Burnette, of Charlotte and Elaine Bass and her husband, Danny, of Morganton; granddaughters, Sandie, Debbie, and April; seven great-grandchildren; and sisters, Marguerite B. Cooper of Memphis, TN and Elizabeth B. Smith of Greensboro, NC.The funeral will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, March 25, 2012 at Jonas Ridge United Methodist Church with Rev. Keith Nichols officiating. Burial will follow in the Jonas Ridge Cemetery.
