Katherine Louise Boetker Hansen, 73, of Morganton, NC died Wednesday, May 22, 2013. Born November 30, 1939 in Montgomery County, MD, she was a daughter of the late John Boetker and Nellie Allen Boetker. Katherine was devoted to her children and grandchildren, and loved life.She is survived by children, Russell Randolph and Elaine, of Wasilla, Alaska, Glenda Carpenter and Scotty, of Fredericksburg, VA, Tammy Randolph and Kenny, of Morganton, Coy Randolph and Lynn, of Cleveland, NC, Debbie Thompson and Gary, of Morganton, and Bubba Randolph, Jr. and Nicole, of Mooresville, NC; grandchildren, Clayton, Wesley, Celena, and Crystal Randolph, Jennifer Bourne and Matt, Lisa Bromley and David, Christina Moore and Josh, Christopher Hearne, Jessica Randolph and Jimmy, Misty Randolph and Steven, Dustin Thompson and Megan, Brandon and Cody Thompson, Justin Randolph, Christopher, Brittany, and Jonathan Randolph, Ashlyn, Payton, Beam, and Austin Woolridge; the father of her children, Curley Randolph; a brother, Roland Boetker and wife, Stella of Pennsylvania; and sisters, Marie Nolde of Maryland, Agnes Law and John of Tennessee, Lorraine Byars and Frank of Tennessee; Gloria Woods and Dale of Virginia, and Patricia Payne and Bobby of Tennessee; and a devoted daughter-in-law, Loretta Randolph.In addition to her parents, Katherine was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Eddie Nolde.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2013 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center. The family will receive friends Thursday night from 7:00 until 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
