Kathleen Baker Clark, 95, of Morganton, NC passed away Friday, August 10, 2018 at Autumn Care of Drexel. Born in Burke County on July 7, 1923, she was the daughter to the late Samuel Robert Baker and Annie Clark Baker.
Kathleen owned and operated Pilot Mountain Beauty Shop for over 45 years. She was a charter member of the Burke County Beautician Association and a member of Denton’s Chapel UMC.
Kathleen is survived by her son, Jeffery Clark and companion, Thomas Stupka of Morganton; daughter, Tamara Williams, and husband, Albert of Leesburg Florida; grandchildren, Brandon Abee and wife, Casey, Cierra Pritchard and husband, Jarrod, and Dalton Abee and wife, Miranda; great-granddaughters, Payton, Peyton and Penelope Abee.
In addition to her parents, Kathleen is preceded in death by her husband, Luther Clark; brothers, Arthur and Glenn; sisters, Belle Price, Lucy Watts and Etta Walker.
The family will receive friends from 3 - 4 p.m., Monday, August 13, 2018 at Denton’s Chapel United Methodist Church. The funeral will be held at 4 p.m., Monday in the church with the Rev. Phillip Hefner officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
