Kathleen Mull Cook

Kathleen Mull Cook, 85, of Morganton went to be with God on Tuesday, September 25, 2012. Born in Burke County, NC on January 7, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Carl Mull and Lillie Mae Kincaid Mull. Kathleen was an active member of Burkemont Baptist Church and retired from Western Carolina Center. She loved to cook, sew, and play golf. Kathleen was very faithful in visiting her friends in rest homes.She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Tom Cook; sons, Toney Cook and his wife, Sherri, of Hickory, NC and Dan Cook and his ex-wife, Connie, of Morganton; a daughter, Linda C. Mace of Augusta, GA; and grandchildren, Richard Mace, Danielle Flake, Drennin Matthews, and Nick Lackey.In addition to her parents, Kathleen was preceded in death by a sister, Nell McGimsey.The funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 28, 2012 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Rev. Eddy Bunton officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
