Kay Elizabeth Marcus

Kay Elizabeth Marcus, 35, of Cook Rd. Ext. in Valdese died Monday, October 19, 2009 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. She was born December 27, 1973 in Tarrrant County, Texas, and was the daughter of Lee Meador Carpenter of Middletown, Ohio, and the late Robert McCleaf.In addition to her mother, she is survived by her children, Abigail, Joseph, and Timothy Marcus, all of Morganton; her fiancée, Charles South of Morganton; brothers, Greg McCleaf of Oregon, and Robert and Samuel McCleaf, both of Texas; and grandmother, Elizabeth Meadowers of Ardville, Oregon.Graveside services will be held at 11am, Thursday, October 22, 2009 at Forest Hill Cemetery with Mr. Buren Clark officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Sossoman Funeral Home is assisting the family.
