Kayla Isabella Branch

Kayla Isabella Branch, 5 week old daughter of Phillip Branch, Jr. and Elizabeth Jones Branch of Valdese, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 17, 2009 at Carolinas Medical Center. Kayla was born in Mecklenburg County on April 7, 2009. In addition to her parents, Kayla is survived by a brother, Quentin Branch, of the home; paternal grandparents, Phillip Branch, Sr. and his wife, Lynn, of Granite Falls and Doris Hudson and her husband, Dale, of Valdese; maternal grandparents, Don and Diane Jones, of Wallace, NC; paternal great-grandmother, Lillie Mae Griffin, of Drexel; an aunt, Joyce Cook, of Drexel; and other extended family members.The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at Hopewell Baptist Church. Graveside services will follow with Rev. Homer Murdock officiating. Sossoman Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
