Keith Obie Buff

Keith Obie Buff, 48 of Morganton, NC died Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte, NC following a brief illness. Born December 5, 1964 in Burke County, NC, he was a son of Virginia Louise Swink Buff of Morganton and the late, John Obie Buff. Keith never knew a stranger and was a friend to everyone he met. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved working with his animals. He was a member of Way of the Cross Baptist Church. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Swannie Buff.In addition to his mother, Mr. Buff is survived by his wife of eleven years, Jacqueline "De Shane" Johnson Buff of the home; children, Brandon Keith Buff and Sha Buff both of Morganton; a grandson, John Brentley Carter; brothers, Sherman Buff and wife, Michelle and Kenneth Buff and wife, Sherry all of Morganton; and a number of nephews and nieces.The funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 28, 2013 at Faith Missionary Baptist Church with the Reverend Richard Ellington officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Sossoman Funeral Home & Crematory Center.
