Keith R. Owens, 36, of Morganton, NC went to his heavenly home on Thursday, January 26, 2017. Born in McDowell County, NC on March 29, 1980, he was the son of Robert “Bobby” Owens of McDowell County and Margaret Minish of Morganton. Keith was raised in the Baptist faith and worked at Walmart. Mr. Owens was a loving son who loved his family very much.
In addition to his parents, Keith is survived by his maternal grandparents who also raised him, Michael and Gladys Dutton of Morganton; his paternal grandmother, Edith Owens of Marion; a sister, Emily Ollis of Morganton; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Keith was preceded in death by a sister, Loretta Bridges.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 pm, Monday, January 30, 2017 at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center. The graveside service will be held at 12 pm, Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Riverside Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Tom Walker officiating.
