Kelley Rae Smith Thompson

Kelley Rae Smith Thompson, 50 of Morganton died Monday, September 8, 2014. She was born in Brevard County, Florida on October 10, 1963 and was a daughter of Dorothy Bishop Smith and the late George Robert Smith, Sr. Kelley loved with all her heart and if she loved you, you had a friend for life. She was the most unselfish, kind, and caring soul who never made an enemy. Her life was driven by the ones she loved the most; her son, dad, children, and grandbabies.
Kelley is survived by her husband, Lex Thompson of the home; a daughter, Jennifer Lee Berry and husband, Jonathan, of Granite Falls; granddaughters, Makayla and Brooklyn Berry; and her siblings, George Robert Smith, II and Kimberly Jordan.
In addition to her father, Kelly was preceded in death by her son, Joshua Scott Pearson, and by a sister, Peyton Smith.
No services are planned. Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
