Kenneth Brett Anderson

Kenneth Brett Anderson, 38, of North Anderson Street, Morganton, NC died Wednesday, September 23, 2009. Born in Guilford County, NC on April 27, 1971, he was the son of Ken and Toni Anderson of Morganton. Brett never met a stranger. He was an avid sports fan, loved life, and loved to have fun. He was devoted to his family, friends, and his dog, Jordan. Brett was a 1989 graduate of Freedom High School. For the past several years he lived in Raleigh and was manager of Vinnie’s Steakhouse.In addition to his parents, Brett is survived by his sisters, Dana Anderson Thomas and Paige Anderson, both of Morganton; grandparents, Ken and Eileen Anderson of Wadena, MN and Nancy and Wiley Sholar of Bermuda Run, NC; an uncle, Craig Souza of Raleigh; a nephew, Maxwell Anderson Thomas of Morganton; and three cousins, Jennifer Souza Shimer of Fairfax, VA, Kim Anderson Lyons of Brookfield, IL, and Kristen Hedderly Souza of Raleigh.Brett was preceded in death by his grandfather, James R. Souza, and an uncle, Michael Wayne Anderson.The funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, September 27, 2009 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service.
